Boys!

They can be so sweet!! Charlie picked me a flower today.
Then they can do silly things... like hanging a lizzard on their ear.
Then... well they can just be boys!!!
(sorry if this offends)

Aunt Dot

I got to enjoy today with my Aunt Dot.
Aunt Dot has four sons, Michael, Larry, Mark & Sam.
Age wise I am right in the middle of the boys.
I got to go and stay with her during one summer, It was real different for her
To have a girl around.. but they had horses and I got to ride..!!
She is a real down-to-earth lady and a good godly woman.
She was married to my dad's oldest brother.
We got to talk family and look at old pictures and catch up on all the new
stuff too. And Of course she had to fix lunch for us..Yummmm
Mom, Jo and baby John went too.
It was a really great day.

Vacuum???

Can you see him? I had two snakes in the pool and I wanted Wayne (determiner of all snakes here) to tell me what they were..so I laid them (the dead snakes) on the pool deck. Well, before I could get him out there this Ibis (I think) shows up and eats the snakes. Yuck! At least I did not have to get rid of them..the bird vacuumed them right up.
I did not have time to change to the big lens so the pic is not great.

Tweekin'

Jamie decided to add grass down the path..
The drive/parking

Another view down to the creek/shed

We are soooo close!!!

Front Yard, you can see the sand we had to cover.
From the back porch looking towards the creek.
This is the front yard. We were not going to do much grass,

but the yard is so sanding we had too
This is a view from down towards the creek.

I will be sooo glad when we are done!!

But, then I think 'Do you ever really get done when you own a house?'

We used crushed brick in the pathway, for the color.

As easy as one - two- three...

I was able to take one day off last week and go to the beach with Jame and the kids.
We had a great day..my sister, baby John (my great nephew) and my mom came out.
Jacob was caught digging a trench for water that was leaking from the waterhose to run in...while waiting on everyone to get ready to go down to the water.

Emmy also liked the sand (can't say I like it as much as I used too) She always has a smile.
And Mac has water, so watch out..she got real brave over the fews days they were there. I did not "doctor" these at all so not the greatest pics...but love the subjects!

Hickory Horned devil caterpillar...Regal Moth

This big guy was resting on my garage door last evening...he was huge
after looking for him on the web for a while,(ask Shelia) I found him... I go crazy trying to learn about things like this...His wing span was about 5 or 6 inches..His head was big and fuzzy, and bright orange and yellow

Look at those eyes...and legs...He was awesome..But if you really want to see him look up "Big, Stinging, Hungry Caterpillars of the East Coast"...and look at him as a caterpillar, He is called Hickory horned devil caterpillar because of he likes to feed on hickory trees..and he most defiantly looks like the devil!!!

For me... it is seeing my Grandmother's table on the stair landing
For Mac it is trying out the new bed and bedding in the first floor bedroom
For others it a big screen...

So Proud!!

US Marines, Army, and Air Force well represented.
Annie has made us all so proud.
It's good to see a young person headed in a positive direction.
CPL Chuck (Annie's friend), Gunnery Sgt. Glenn (Annie's Dad), PVT Annie Peifer, Master Sgt. Freddie (Glenn's buddy), SSG Shane, and Lt. Col. Betsy (Jo Anne's Friend) (I apologize if I do not have all this military stuff right I'm new at it).
We had hoped that Lt Jeff would be home, but he was not able to make it.
Jo put on a huge spread for everyone after graduation... it was a great family day.
This cute little blue eyed family was with us on Friday too. There was about 30 of us all together.

Momma Wrabbit

I was leaving for work Friday and saw this Momma in my front yard,
no doubt looking for the cute babies. My focus is off again, Amy..I was trying to sneak up on her... Then Sunday afternoon I was walking around in the yard, a rare treat these days for me.
I saw this huge pile of fur in my flower bed.... horror struck my heart I thought one or both of the babies had been killed.. but upon further investigation it was the bed where to babies were born.. let's all say it together ... Ahhhh!
Side note: Jeff is back in the USA and will be home soon. Let's all say it together "Thank you God".
Love you all, Judy

Wrascally Wrabbit

We were outside yesterday checking on the pool, when we happened on these two little cuties just sitting there, (Wayne almost stepped on one of them) they were soaked to the bone from the rain. We could have picked them up but thought better of it.
