Holy Cow Mooove over!

We were over in Georgia today (looking at some property). We were amazed at the number of cows, mules and horses you see riding down all the back roads. I kept saying I need to stop and take a pictures. Well, we were all the way back to Ridgeland when we stopped and I got these shots. (at Fred Tuten's farm).

This little guy stopped to say Hell-o to the camera.
Momma called, and like most kids they paid no mind.

Nothing like a place to rest your head while waiting for someone to mooove over.
The sun was all wrong, but the subjects were so cute, I could not resist.

Another Bubba makes the Blog

Everyone meet Bubba. I've been wanting to take his picture for a while now and just had the opportunity to do so today. I'm sure most of you have seen Bubba.
He stands guard out side of a local business. (I know the owner)
You may not recognize Bubba, since he's joined up.
He use to wear a bright yellow and green and red suit w/ a beanie hat to boot. But since we were attacked on 9/11 he donned his Camo and has proudly held Old Glory to show his support for ALL of our service men and women.
He's got his best "game face" on and is ready for what ever he has to do!
So lets all join Bubba and say a
HUGE THANK YOU
To all who serve so bravely!

Dockside

I like this picture the best, or maybe it's the boat I like. When you enlarge it, you can see a man lying on his stomach working on the little boat.

I was not feeling so good today, so I pulled these pictures out of some I took a while back. I wasn't to pleased with them then or now.

I'm going to get ran over one of these days. I was standing on the causeway on the Parris Island Bridge when I took this picture. I love the flag in this one!
I took these pictures at the 11th Street Dock in Port Royal, SC
Wayne and I love to eat at the 11th Street Dockside Restaurant when we can.
I like how I got the plants and marsh grass in these. The pictures are a little different, I think, I may have posted the same photo twice (again). I do love our Low Country!

Boo! The tree monster!

Jeff and Heather gave this "tree face" to me for Christmas a couple of years ago. It's funny because most of the time you just walk by it without even noticing it. Then, when you catch it out of the corner of your eye it can give you a fright! I love how the moss looks like a mustache. Eerie eyes, huh? And how about the wart on his head?

Weeds?

Crimson Clover

Ladina Clover w/ bee
Did not use the closeup feature

These Purple Weeds are all over the hay field.
I shot these with the big lens, tyring out the closeup capabilities.
I really like this one. When you enlarge it you can see a spider web on the petal. Cool!
(Hey, Ame part of the "project" is to improve our skills with our camera right? Is there a web page you can tell me about to learn more about the cannon?)

Farrier Too!?

Tools of the trade
Hard work!
A grateful horse, who's feet feel much better!
My sweet husband can do it all...I tease him and tell him he can fix anything
from a broken heart to the crack of dawn!
Spunk is such a baby that
he will actually lean his weight on Wayne to hold him up!
I took these on Saturday, did not publish the ones of Wayne
lying on the ground in agony. (:
(don't miss LT's rebuttal on "Bones of Contention")

His First Love

Meet Wayne's first love. He just loves to "worry the dirt". I often tease him that if he had to choose between me and this JD4020, that I know he would hesitate albeit for only a second to be sure it was me he loved the most. At heart he's a framer. But thank God he knows we would starve to death trying to make a living at it. So he is happy to plant a little corn or some soy beans and bale some hay. I could think of a lot worse things he could be doing. It's just another toy for the boys, big and little.
(Amy I used "the lens" so these seem a bit shaky to me, the wind was blowing too.)

I like the moss in the tree in this one.

I like this one you can see the exhaust coming from the smoke stack. It's his therapy and he deserves his alone time with his tractor.
