Don't Fence Me In

This blog is yet another shot of my time waiting in traffic.
I must admit though, they had things
moving a little better by Friday.
I saw these two slats of a picket fence, peaking out of the shrubs at the Beaufort Co. Board of Realtors office. I have to go there on occasion for work. I didn't see it until I was leaving so I made the block, what's one more block? And snapped this picture. I wish I could get these to pop like Amy, It's a goal of mine.

This is the Picket Fence on the right at Boundary street as you will recall I spent some time on this corner on Friday. I like it because of the Palmetto and the moss growing behind the fence.

I used the 300 lens on this fence..you guessed it, it is to the left of the corner as I sat waiting at the light on Friday.

This is my favorite.

Well, I have really covered the Charles at Boundary street scene. Depending where I get stuck this week, it may determine my blog subject.

He's Back with the Mrs.

I had a couple more of the Bunting, he was such a cutie.
I'm really proud of this one and the next one.
Looks like he is going to twist his head off.
You can see the water drops flying off his head.
It runs in the family, here's the Mrs. twisting her head
and flinging the water everywhere.

She's getting a drink, but keeping a watch out.

I meant to post these of the Mrs. in the opposite order,
but...I'm very tired, to tired for a do-over.
The white on the right is a flash reflection from the backdoor.

Painted Bunting Bath Time

Yippee! I got him. This little guy as been eluding me for months. He is very cautious. I got some really good shots. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did
(Wayne said I sounded like a kid giggling.)

Ame, I know you could really make these pop!
Can you believe how fast he is shaking?

This is one I was laughing at because it looks like he is scratching he back.

Let me see ya shake your tail feathers, while washing your face. I love it!

All done! He looks like a drowned rat!
I had another post ready, but I just loved these. I have some more
for a later post too.

Broken, Crowded, and Controlled!

The broken bridge. Ah, the cause of a lot of stress and ugly words being said! Wow, how I took this for granted. I have err, did have to go over this bridge at least twice a day.
Crowded, but working. Well, until a boat needs to get by. Hope Fed X made it on time! Old faithful. I have to go around town to get here, but glad we have it.
I sat at this light so long I was getting bored, so I took a picture of the "Control Police". I caught myself saying "come on cutie, make the switch". So he does, make the switch, hops into his car we wait some more....ha the light did not change. So he hops out of his car and switches the light again. Gives all of us, in the growing line, the thumbs up, (after I put the camera up, of course). He hops back in his car and finally we're off, him in front of me naturally! Guess it's back to the traffic on Monday because NO WAY am I going back this weekend!
This too shall pass! But you better not they will get you!
I hope it's legal to take a picture of the police!

Tufted Titmouse Hangin on!

I love to watch these guys hangin' on eating.Sorry about the post, but I was having a hard time catching him.
Watching them makes my neck hurt though. Looks like they are straining so hard.
You would think I would put the matching Bird feeder out on the other side of the post!
Perhaps next time, I'll get a better shot.

New Office Help??

Yep! A red bird flew into the house the other day. Landed right there on my desk. I thought Wayne was going to have a stroke. When he was a little boy his MaMa held him up to look in a Mocking Bird nest and the mother bird pecked his forehead, until it bled. She didn't know the bird was pecking him. Anyway, he hates birds!
The bird didn't get any filing done!
Thank goodness Charlie has no fear and came to the rescue, of both the bird and Poppie!
Had to throw this one of Luke in, he was helping Pop hook up the trailer.
(Jeff took the first pictures, with my camera, just wanted to give him the credit).

A Lesson....

I loved this picture when I saw it.
Look how intense the boys are
looking at what Dad is showing and explaining to them.
This is such an important time for the boys. They are growing up to be men... fast.
It seems like just yesterday this could be Wayne and Jeff.
As parents we often make big mistakes, not meaning to of course. I'm afraid we scar ya'll with our lack of knowledge and stupidity, sorry. (But then come the grands. By the way American Indians call their grands "twice your child" I really like this. It's like you get a do-over. :0). Take the good lessons and teach them to the boys.
Anyway, as most of you know Jeff leaves soon and yes it's killin me.
So, Bubba I hope your scars aren't to deep. I hope we instilled a love for others, more than yourself, that you turn your critical eye on yourself first. Always look for the good, the positive, and best in people; find out what you can give and don't just look for what you can take. Keep your head down and your hopes and come home to us ASAP.
Oh, this is what Jeff was showing the boys, a big snapping turtle.
(I apologize to the other bloggers, but a Mom just has to get stuff out sometimes. Somehow I can write it better, I can cry by myself. :0) Forgive a Mom her ramblings.
