This Old House on Congress Street has always intrigued me.
It looks out of place, like an old country farm house, right off of busy Carteret Street.
The worn, weathered boards are beautiful. If I could I'd move it to Georgia.
But then again, I'm not sure it would look right without a plametto tree next to it..Detail on the gable end.

The sun was imposible at the time of day I was able to take the pic.
I still have not managed to get the depth and sharpness of Amy's BWs.
One day.

I love these! Makes me miss home! You do such a great job with all your photo's!
I remember that house!!! I would drive by it with Home Health so often. I used to think of what some of those houses would be like fixed up, too.
I love your b/w pictures!
How did I miss this?? I need to pay better attention! Gorgeous pics!
I'm drawn to that house too. I love the weatherbeaten boards. I've thought about making Riley pose for some black and whites on those porch steps.
I don't remember this house. Although, it is beautiful.. You could move it, I saw it on HGTV!!! LOL!! It would cost a pretty penny though! Oh well!
As for the the horse pictures and Christina.... kinda choked me up!! My monkey was such a great horse! By the way, Shane says that I have always said that I grew up on horses but has never seen me ride one. Probably because he has been on so many vacations....with work and all!!LOL!! Could you scan and send him one???
Happy Anniversary!! Jacob wanted to know if you guys got married today!!!! And by the way, he scored the extra point at tonights game!!! Excitement is the only word for that!!!
I can't say I have seen this house. I proably have and just forgot. It does look like it might be out of place in town though. I like the second pic a lot it reminds me of a greeting card. It's just missing the snow.
That is an interesting house. You're right it looks like it should be in the country or the mountains. Good pictures. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!
B&W gives such charactor to your subject. Have you ever tried the Sepia setting? Gives charactor also. The house looks so homie, but the porch needs a rocking chair or better yet a swing. LOL
