Sandbar

The sandbar in the Beaufort Bay has been a favorite of us natives for a long time.
With the Water Festival coming up I thought that it would be a good idea to post this picture before it is covered with people, most of which us natives will not know.

These folks were fortunate to have the sandbar to themselves,
so let's see you'll need to go on a Wednesday at about 1:00 in the afternoon
to enjoy an old favorite in peace!

Very peaceful looking at the moment. By next weekend it will be bombarded with a billion boats with a zillion people on them.

There won't be anything peaceful about it come next week. Sheesh. I'm a native, but I sure do detest Water Festival. I'm not a crowd person, myself. Come to think of it, I don't like 100-degree temperatures and being hustled and bustled around in a crowd of drunk strangers either! Bah-humbug. I think I'm a little grumpy tonight! LOL.

Nice pictures, Ms. Judy.

Just enlarged the last pic. There is a person on the boat with a dog, and someone swimming in the water. Great catch Judy. Love that sandbar too, it's a perfect little spot.

WOW!! That does look peaceful! I wish I could go to the Water festival!! I miss that!! Even though there are a million people there. I remember when my uncle was the person who made all the decisions about the festival, and he gave me a 'get in free' button to everything!! I thought I was so special!!!

What the heck is that called?? The admiral??
